Clifford Lee Price

September 28, 1943 — December 8, 2013

Clifford "Cliff" Lee Price, 70, of Topeka, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 28, 1943 in Wichita, KS to Marvin Lee and Loretta Allene (Denney) Price. He was raised in Topeka and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1961. He was employed by Santa Fe Railroad offices for many years before retiring in 2001. His family was the joy of his life. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, liked to dance and chase women. Material things were never important to him but having fun and being a good friend was.

He is survived by his daughters: Candy (Rodney) Blythe, of Dover, Kansas, and Krissy (John) Morgan, of Tonganoxie, Kansas; 5 grandchildren: Kylie and Will Blythe, Calvin, Emma and Corinne Morgan; sisters: Karen Stewart, Linda Price, Barbara Jung and Patti Price; 7 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Al Price.

A casual celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Big Gage Park Shelter House, near the entrance to the Topeka Zoo. Cliff's youngest granddaughter, Corinne was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes several years ago. Cliff's hope was that some day a cure may be found. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation "Corinne's Crew" 920 Main Street, Suite 280, Kansas City, MO 64105 or www.jdrf.org
