Clifford W. Sadler, Sr., 85, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022. He was born June 9, 1936 in Baltimore, Maryland, the son of Clifford T. and Thelma (Hutchinson) Sadler.
Clifford graduated from Oxnard High School in Oxnard, California in 1952. He was an Air Force Veteran during the Korean War. He had resided in Topeka since 1962. Clifford was employed as a Paint Supervisor for the State of Kansas for 20 years before retiring. He was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church, Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion, the Moose Lodge and the Orient Lodge No. 51, AF&AM.
Clifford married Elaine Kay Dew on November 19, 1961 in Denver, Colorado. She preceded him in death on January 25, 2018.
Survivors include children, Clifford W. Sadler, Jr., Julie M. Lovely, Michael A. Besenyi, Debbie J. Gill, Barbara A. Rittenhouse, Charles C. Sadler, Robert B. Besenyi, Sr., Ronald L. Sadler and Stanley J. Sadler I, twenty-nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
A private Celebration of Clifford's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Eskridge Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
