Clifton A. "Tip" Holland, 93, Topeka, passed away Friday, September 15, 2006 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Tip was born October 19, 1912 in Blue Rapids, KS, the son of Delbert and Avis Gose Holland.
In his earlier years Tip was a farmer. Then in 1957, he attended barber school and barbered for 22 years in Topeka until his retirement.
Tip's hobby was music and he played his guitar and sang every chance he was given.
He married Opal Skillett on February 7, 1938 in Tecumseh, NE. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Shumaker, Topeka and Katherine Holder, Green Valley, AZ; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
