Clinton S. "Ozzie" Myer, 80, Topeka. passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at a local hospital.
Ozzie was born June 29, 1927 in Topeka, the son of Orville and Lucille Myer.
He was a Vinyl floor layer for 40 years. He was employed at Ed Marlings where he met his wife, Patsy Davis. They were married on December 19, 1956 in Topeka. He later went into business for himself and contracted with Stearns, Kopps, and Carpet Center.
He was a member of the Colly Creek Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years; daughter, Kristi (Michael J.) Reed, Topeka; son, Jimmy (Elena V.) Myer, Overland Park; granddaughter, Sondra (Alan) Tessmer, Topeka; great-grandsons, Lazrua', Rayden, Alan, Jr; brothers, Richard (Florence) Myer, California, Lloyd (Anna Rose) Myer, Colorado, John (Betty) Myer, California; and other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 23, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Ozzie will lie in state at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
