Connie Sue Vega, 37, Topeka, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005 at the KU Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.
She was born Sept. 28, 1967 in Topeka, the daughter of Charles and Thelma Spooner Burns. She graduated from Highland Park High School and had lived in Topeka all her life.
She married Dan Vega on Aug. 8, 1991 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Janice Casarez, Kansas City, KS, Shawn Burns, Alicia Burns, Adam Burns, Jessica Guerrero, Juan Vega, Luis Vega, Derek Burns, Jacob Burns, Rebecca Burns and Heaven Burns, all of Topeka; three sisters, Shiela Arreola, Denver, Debra Vensuela, Kansas City, KS, and Peggy Zattini in Florida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Burns.
Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in Topeka Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to help defray the cost of the funeral service, and sent to the family or to the funeral home.
