Memorial Services for Cora Welch, 88, of Topeka will be March 23, 2004 at 7:00 PM at Central United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
Mrs Welch died March 17, 2004 at a nursing home in Topeka.
She was born July 26, 1915 in Vera, KS.
She was the daughter of Levi and Belle Osborn Phillis.
She worked for the State of Kansas until her retirement in 1979.
Mrs Welch was a member of Central United Methodist Church, Autumn Club, DAR, Rebekah and past member of Lawrence Business and Professional Womens Club and also Knife and Fork Club.
She also delivered meals on wheels and later worked in the kitchen.
She married Leon Davin on May 28, 1934. He preceeded her in death. She married Archie Welch on March 21, 1969. He also preceeded her in death.
Survivors include her niece, Lila Bartels and family. One sister, Florence Davin and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Central United Methodist Church in Lawrence or Heart of America Hospice in Topeka, KS.
Cora was cremated and Newcomer Family Funeral Home in Topeka is handling the arrangements.
