Corine E. Christman, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born April 14, 1939 in Turon, Kansas, the daughter of Logan and Doris (Nelson) Sanford.
Corine graduated from Topeka High School in 1958. She graduated from Crosby Beauty School in Salina in 1959. She was a Beauty Operator and was later employed by Stormont-Vail Hospital for 23 years before retiring. Corine was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a charter member of the Shawnee Boat & Ski Club. She also volunteered at the Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy and the Topeka Performing Arts Center.
Corine married Earl Duane "Chris" Christman on November 1, 1959 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2010. She was also preceded in death by three children, Dora K., Elaine Marie and Bruce Allen.
Survivors include children, Pennie (Keven) Miser of Topeka, Douglas (Kathi) Christman of Topeka, grandchildren, Brooke (Jarrod) Carney, Chelsa Mae (Jared) Rogers, two great-grandchildren, Logan Douglas Michael Carney and Leah Marie Carney and two sisters, Margaret Symns and Bonnie Williamson.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 2, 2020 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the funeral home. Masks and social distancing must be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy, 3028 SW 8th Ave., Topeka, Kansas 66606.
