Corolene Davis, 86, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at a local care center.
Corolene was born January 21, 1935 in Holton, the daughter of Irvin and Ara (Bottenberg) Miller.
She graduated from Holton High School in 1953.
She was employed as a bookkeeper with Victory Life Insurance Co., Topeka, KS for 10 years. Than later for C&W/CBC, Topeka, KS she kept books for 5 grocery stores for 28 years.
She was a member of Eastern Star.
Corolene married Orville Davis in 1953. They later divorced. Survivors include several niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kent Davis; Kansas City sister June Passmore, Topeka; sister Jean Wood, Holton; brother Charles Miller, Topeka; niece Marian Gier (Wood), Holton; and her companion for over 11 years Bryan (Skip) King, Topeka.
One of her greatest joys in life was traveling with Great Adventure Tours (Oneta and Dick Ashcraft) with all the theatre shows, seeing all 50 states and 10 fantastic cruises. Corolene also enjoyed dancing, country music, and collected bears and magnets from all her travels.
Corolene will lie in state at the Dove Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 22, 2021.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Rescue Mission, Helping Hands Humane Society or Midland Care.
