Creighton Michael Lloyd-Collins, 17, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 surrounded by his family.
He was born December 22, 2006, in Dover, New Hampshire, the son of Tiffany Lloyd and Jason Collins. He was a student at Washburn Rural High School and Washburn Institute of Technology.
Creighton worked part-time at the family business, Picasso Painting Inc.
He was passionate about helping others, and he was able to give the gift of life to three people through organ donation. This was something he felt strongly about since someone else’s gift impacted his life for someone he loved.
Creighton will always be remembered for how he made people feel and laugh. He loved spending time with his family, his beloved dog, Zeus and hanging out with his friends. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving his truck, hunting and shooting sports, listening to music, video gaming, and baking cakes. He thoroughly enjoyed football and kept up with NFL news, especially for his Chiefs.
His luscious locks were more than just hair to him, they were a symbol of Creighton. He didn’t care how many people told him to cut his hair, he absolutely loved it and it wasn’t going anywhere. Some tried to bribe him to cut it while many others wished they had his hair.
Survivors include his parents, Tiffany Lloyd & Darrin McCall and Jason & Suzi Collins; siblings, Connor, Drake and Jayda, his favorite sister; grandparents, Rex & Brenda Lloyd, Patricia McCall, Adele Barnes and Jim Collins, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his great great-grandmother, Dorothy Kirkham, great-grandparents, William Lloyd Jr. and Millard & Ruth Winter, and grandparents, Joanie Collins and Bruce “Bobit” Barnes.
Creighton’s wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Please check back for this information.
