Cresencia Obregon

Cresencia Almaguer Obregon, 83, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at her home.
She was born June 15, 1921 at Topeka, the daughter of Juan and Cipriana Melendez Almaguer.
Cresencia was married to Simon M. Obregon who preceded her in death in 1986.
She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church, a homemaker and her life was dedicated to her family.
Surviving family includes four daughters, Roxanne M.Dominguez , Gloria Obregon, Rosalinda Alcala and husband Arthur Alcala, Rebecca Zuniga and her husband Richard Zuniga, one son, Anthony Obregon and his wife Mary Obregon, one brother, Miguel Almaguer, one sister, Reynalda Ochoa and her grandchildren Private First Class Lance Zuniga USMC, Damon Zuniga, Blair Zuniga, Kristin Doyle, Ashley Doyle, Preston Quick, and Tiffany Dominguez all of Topeka and Chelsea Obregon of Panama City,Florida. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Helena Almaguer, Rosario Almaguer, Consuelo Adame and two brothers Frank Almaguer and Salome Almaguer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3:30 pm Friday January 21, 2005 at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Cresencia will lie in state and the family will greet friends from 11:30am until 2:30pm Friday at the Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
