Cupid "Jake" Brumley, 89, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at his home.
Jake was born October 11, 1930, in Mayo, Florida, the son of Joseph and Hallie (Lyons) Brumley.
He served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, thereafter retiring. Jake also worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 20 years, where he later retired.
Jake married Mary McCann on March 29, 1952 in Miami, Florida.
Survivors include a wife of 68 years, Mary Brumley; daughters, Susan (Dennis) Toyne, Peggy Gifford, son, Kenneth (Veronica) Brumley; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jason) Perry, Kathryn Toyne, Olivia (Joe Prokop) Vance, Nathan (Kristi) Gifford, Madison Brumley, KJ Brumley, Ariana Valle, Angello Valle; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandchild, Sarah Toyne, father, Joseph Brumley and mother, Hallie Brumley; and 8 brothers and sisters.
Per Jake's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
