Curtis Hurwitz

Curtis Reed Hurwitz, 22, Wichita, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 in Topeka. He was born January 30, 1986 in Hutchinson the son of Dr. Michael Hurwitz and Jeanne Curtis Hurwitz.

He attended Washburn Rural High School, Kansas University and Buttler Community College. Curtis had joined the Navy and was due at boot camp Tuesday, August the 12th. He was earmarked to become a Medical Assistant.

Curtis is survived by Dr. Michael Hurwitz and wife Patty of Topeka, Jeanne Curtis Hurwitz of Wichita, and his sister Julie Hurwitz of Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Hospital Foundation, to assist cancer patients, 1700 SW 7th Topeka, KS 66606.
