Damon E. Jones

Damon Emile Jones, 43 of Topeka died Monday, June 7, 2004. He was born on November 14, 1960, the son of Melvin Jones, Sr. and Rosa Ransom. Survivors include seven sisters, Teresa, Hameeda, Pamela, Valarie, Sharon, Sheleena and Bayyinah, 2 brothers, Melvin and Javis and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jones, Sr. and his step-father, Vernon Ransom. Cremation took place. Mr. Jones will not lie in state. Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Cushinberry Park. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
