Dan Norris, 63, of Berryton, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at his home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 17, 1943 in Circleville, Ohio. He graduated from Lecompton High School in 1962. He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. Dan was the founder and the president of the Kansas Walleye Association for the past 22 years. He was a charter member of the Kansas Bowhunters Association. He was employed by Mainline Printing Company as a production manager before retiring in 2005. Dan married Anna Marlene Fienhage on June 29, 1963 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his children, Mark Norris and wife, Terrie of Topeka, Debbie Norris-Athon of Topeka and Diana Stucky and husband, Morris of Overland Park. Other survivors include five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three brothers, Larry DeShazer of Berryton, Bill DeShazer of Topeka and John Young of Columbus, Ohio, and two sisters, Sandra Norris of Seattle, Washington and Barbara Ann Quarrels of Topeka. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Natalie Stucky in 2001 and his mother, Evelyn Norris in 2006. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
