Daniel J. "Dan" Dalton, 67, of Garden City, Missouri, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. He was born February 17, 1957 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Bettie (Ezel) Dalton.

Dan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Avila College in Kansas City, Missouri. He was employed by the DDS for the Social Security Administration for 32 years before retiring. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church where he served as Sub Deacon.

Dan married Brenda Surratt on April 30, 1985 in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include children, Kalila, Michael, Shawn, Patricia and Paul, thirty-three grandchildren, his sister, Colleen Hernandez of Kansas City, Missouri and his brother, Charles “Charlie” Dalton of Overland Park, Kansas. 

Funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 2516 SW Huntoon St., Topeka, Kansas 66604. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church Building Fund c/o the church.
