Daniel Gene Martin, 44, passed away peacefully Friday, June 2, 2017, at Midland Hospice House.
Daniel was born April 9, 1973, in Topeka, KS, to Fredrick and Hope (Juarez) Martin. He graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1991 and attended Washburn University.
He is survived by his siblings, Ralph Lira, Donald Martin and Nancy Gutierrez; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and brothers, John Lira, Jr. and Eric Lira.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 302 S. Boyle Street, Scranton, KS 66537. Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Scranton, KS. A Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where the family will greet friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
