Dareld R. Smith, 90, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center. He was born April 13, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas.
Dareld graduated from Mayetta High School. He was an Army Veteran during WWII. He was employed by the City of Topeka for over 10 years.
Dareld married Wanda L. Nicolay. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his step-son: Duane Boley.
Survivors include children; James "Jimmy" Smith of Independence, Kansas, Stacey O. Smith of Topeka and Gayle L. White of Topeka, four granddaughters; Amber Smith, Sandra Hind, Heather Edmonds and Wanda Edmonds and fifteen great-grandchildren.
As per Dareld's wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned.
