Darlene Frances Dozier

Darlene Frances Dozier, 77, of Topeka, passed away May 23, 2017. She was born on August 22, 1939 to David and Alice (Steele) Graham at Byers, Colorado. She graduated from Topeka High School.
Darlene married James A. Dozier, Sr. on September 11, 1965. She worked for the state of Kansas doing data entry for many years before retiring from the department of Driver Control.
Darlene enjoyed listening to music, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her dog Scruffy. She spent many years raising her sons while her husband was an over the road truck driver. She had a great sense of humor.
Darlene is survived by her sons, Jimmy Jr. of Topeka and Jason (SueAnn) of Kansas City, Kansas; and her sister, Eleanor Martin of Grand Prairie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sr. on September 11, 2016; her parents; and her brother, Charles Graham.
Visitation beginning at 2:00 pm will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 followed by a memorial service at 3:00 pm at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66606.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Darlene's honor to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Cir. Topeka, KS 66606 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st Street, Topeka, KS 66604
