Darvin Lee Hysten

Darvin Lee Hysten, 41, of Topeka, passed away at Eventide Nursing Home on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2009 after a long illness. He was born the son of Lloyd and Rosie Bradley Hysten. He leaves as survivors his parents, Lloyd and Rosie Hysten, his siblings, David (Gail) Hysten, Sr., Denise L. Hysten-Scott, Daniel L. (Rachel) Hysten all of Topeka and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and several aunts and uncles. Darvin graduated from Shawnee Heights High School where he ran track and played in the marching band. He liked to work in food service, enjoyed cooking and fishing. Darvin will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Indiana Avenue Church Of Christ. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Eventide Convalescent Center, 2015 SE 10th Ave., Topeka, KS 66607 or to Indiana Avenue Church Of Christ, 3510 SE Indiana Ave., Topeka, KS 66605.
