David B. Thompson, 46, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2012 at his home.
He was born December 30, 1965 in Topeka, the son of Charles L. and Doris M. Meyersick Thompson, Sr. He attended Highland Park High School. He was a truck driver for several local transport companies.
David married April G. Beamand on February 10, 1990 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include his mother, Doris, his siblings, Charlie, Steve, Sharon, Karen and Maxine, many nieces and nephews and his nine dogs and two cats. David was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Pattie.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the David B. Thompson Memorial Fund c/o Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605 or to the Mid America Bully Breed Rescue, P.O. Box 410233, Kansas City, MO 64141-0233.
