David Foster Napier, 34, of Topeka, was our "beloved one with no equal". He left us much too soon on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. David was a loving father, son, and brother and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
David was born on April 20, 1980 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Gary and Verna (Gough) Napier. He graduated from Topeka High School class of 1998.
His greatest focus and joy in life was his son, Jordan. He was an incredible friend, always willing and available to help no matter what. He had a wonderful sense of humor which he shared with everyone he came into contact with.
Survivors include his son, Jordan Shurtz-Napier of Topeka; parents, Gary and Verna Napier of Topeka; siblings, Angela (Scott) Jones of Overland Park and Michael (Mary) Napier of Topeka; nieces and nephews, Lee Napier, Kennedy Jones, Holden Jones, and Leila Napier; grandparents, Neolin and Opal Taylor of Topeka and Marvie Napier of Paola as well as many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leo Napier.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00p.m. on Monday, March 16 at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30a.m. on Tuesday, March 17 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3625 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka. A private burial will take place at a later date.
