David L. Holmes

David L. Holmes, 35, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2006 at a Topeka hospital. He was born on August 20, 1970 in Coffeyville. He graduated from Topeka High School. He was employed by Bank IV and volunteered for the Kansas Corporation Commission and the American Cancer Society. Survivors include his parents, Wendell and Melva Janke of Topeka, one sister, Heather Appenfeller and husband, Douglas of Topeka, one brother, Tim Janke and wife, Melissia of Topeka, four nieces ,one nephew and his grandmother, Helen Henry of Lafayette, IN. Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be given to Sheltered Living Inc., 2044 S.W. Fillmore St., Topeka, KS 66604. Newcomer Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
