David L. Johnson

David L. Johnson, 62, of Topeka, died Wednesday, October 13, 2004 at a Topeka hospital. He was born on June 24, 1942 in Emmett, Arkansas the son of Dave and Evelyn Hill Johnson. He came to Topeka in 1975. He was employed by Menningers. He married Naomi Johnson. They were divorced. Survivors include one son, David Lee Johnson, Jr. of New Jersey, three brothers, Chester Hendrix of Parkin, Arkansas, Joe Lee Spencer of Topeka, Andrew Locks of Florida , eight sisters, Marlene Miller of Topeka, Francile Johnson of Topeka, Verlyn Johnson of Topeka, Elwonda Jones of Topeka, Cora Mae Smith of Topeka, Evelyn Joyce Johnson of Topeka, Joretta Johnson of Los Angeles, California, Anna Pearl Spencer of Long Beach, California, a very special friend, Dorleta Woods of Topeka and a host of nieces and nephews. Cremation took place. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
