David Clayton Shoemaker, 85, of Monahans, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022.
He was born August 27, 1937, in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Clayton and Isabel Jean (Walters) Shoemaker. He served in the United States Navy.
David was employed as a truck driver for Atlas Van Lines for 25 years.
David married Melanie Smithers. She survives, along with his children Linda Schenck of New Jersey, Donna Rice of New Jersey, Jim Shoemaker (Brenda) of Carbondale, Kansas, and Mickey Ramirez of Idaho; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Diane; and his siblings.
David enjoyed traveling to see family and driving.
