Dawn Jean Bartlett

March 3, 1925 — July 5, 2012

Dawn J. Bartlett, 87, of Topeka, passed away July 5, 2012. She was born March 3, 1925, in Coolangatta, NSW, Australia.

On November 24, 1945 in Brisbane, Australia, she married Marion L. Bartlett. He preceded her in death on October 4, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Gloria, and two brothers, Ian and Darrell, all from Australia.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, British Wives Club, and was a den mother for many years.

She is survived by son, Bradley J. (Karen) Bartlett, Sr.; granddaughter, Ida Palmer; grandson, Brad Bartlett, Jr.; and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church, 2627 SW Western Ave., Topeka. Burial will follow in Topeka Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
