Dean Allen Jacobs of Topeka, Kansas, born on February 21, 1958, passed away on December 25, 2015, of unknown causes. He was 57 years old. Dean is survived by his only sibling, Steve Jacobs and his sister-in-law, Angie Jacobs.

Dean was employed at Reser's Fine Foods.

As a young boy, Dean enjoyed spending his summers with his parents, Kenneth and Irma Jacobs, his brother, Steve, his grandparents, Ernest and Esther Jacobs, and many aunts, uncles and cousins on his grandparents farm in Council Grove, Kansas.

After the passing of his parents, Dean lived in the home he grew up in. He enjoyed sports, especially Kansas University, the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals baseball.

Dean spent most of his spare time enjoying the company of his cat, Garfield, and his big brother, Steve, who lives less than a block away. They were very close both geographically and by heart.

Dean was a kind and unique sole who was very thoughtful. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He enjoyed family get together with his Aunt and Uncle, Norma and Dale Johnston and their children, Linda Woodland, Mike Johnston, Susan Salyer, Kim Brown (all of Topeka) and Tami Brooks, from Florida. Other cousins surviving are Kyle Vermillion of Topeka, and Marshall and Sissy Jacobs from Alabama. Survivors also include his Aunt Donna Barlow and Uncle Gale and Aunt Vivian Pfister of Holton, Kansas, and Bunny Pfister of Falls City, Nebraska.

Graveside inurnment will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 14, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 6th & Gage, Topeka.
