Deana Jo Burgardt

Deana Jo Burgardt, 66, of Tecumseh, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was born March 14, 1955 in Topeka, the daughter of Joseph J. and Opal "Nadine" (Wolfe) Burgardt.

Deana graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 1973 and earned a Bachelor's Degree from Washburn University. She was employed by the KBI for many years. She was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church.

Survivors include her brothers, Carl Burgardt of Kansas City, Kansas, Ron Burgardt of Buckhannon, West Virginia, three nieces, Jennifer Ellen Gilbert, Amy Jo Foster, Maelynda Hope Ward, and three nephews, Donald Wesley Metheney, Robert Edgar Metheney and Wilford Lee Metheney. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Jacque Gilbert.

Deana was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Robert A. Gilbert, and a sister-in-law Maxine Burgardt.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Highland Heights Christian Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery southeast of Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Highland Heights Christian Church, 2930 SE Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh, Kansas 66542.
