Deborah L. Fowler, 69, of Oakland, California, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, in Topeka, Kansas. She was born September 6, 1954, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Phillip A. and Patricia L. (Dailey) Ramer.

Deborah worked and retired as a Registered Nurse. She provided exceptional nursing care for over forty (40) years and saved many lives. Her nursing acumen included specialized care for quadriplegic patients and Charge Nurse at an ambulatory surgery center in Marin County, California.

Deborah had a deep love for her family and a heart for adventure and travel. She spent time exploring Asia, Europe, Central and South America with a special fondness for India. She was also an experienced and admired sailor, sailing boats from California to Hawaii on several occasions and serving as crew on the Coors Race Team boat. She derived great pleasure from living in California, sailing, rowing, skiing, hiking, and was an avid reader and lover of dogs. Deborah expressed her creativity through the enjoyment of art, painting and playing the piano.

Survivors include her beloved brothers, David (Amelia) Ramer of Reston, Virginia, Stephen (Nicole) Ramer of Topeka, Kansas, adored sister-in-law Yoshiko Yajima of Tokyo, Japan, cherished friend and confidant, Daniel Reilly, her dearest niece and nephew, Danielle (Justin) Guinn, and Samuel (Heather) Ramer, six great nieces and nephews, and treasured aunt, uncles, cousins and friends.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Nathan Ramer.
A private Celebration of Deborah's Life will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place at a later date in Rosita, Colorado.
