Deborah K. Watts

September 22, 1961 — August 27, 2022

Deborah K. "Deb" Watts, 60, of Dover, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born September 22, 1961 in Harrison, Arkansas, the daughter of Troy and Shirley (Roberts) Watts both deceased.

Deb graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1980. She was homemaker and loving wife. She was a member of the Dover Federated Church and in the past a Kilo Sierra Club member with her friend of 40 over years Sally Alejose "MOM" to Deb. She grew up on a farm and enjoyed all of the animals, helping her mom and dad with the yearly garden and riding with her dad on his milk deliveries. Deb's love for her family and those who she considered family was immeasurable even opening her doors to her home to family when they have needed a place to stay. Sherry Watts not only her sister-in-law was her friend before she became her "SIS". Sherry was instrumental in getting Deb out of the nursing home and living in an independent life again. She was her sis forever bound by a deep deep love. Deb LOVED the town of Dover. She loved to go to the cafe and eat pie and talk to people from the community. When fires threaten the community last year Deb made sandwiches and took sodas to the home base for the firefighters. She loved her Bluebloods and law and order SVU and listening to old country music. She loved to sing karaoke online with her husband forming a special bond with HARLEY a woman from Indiana who would talk to Deb while she was being treated for kidney failure at dialysis. They would either talk live online or over the telephone. Deb fell in love with the community of Clapper where she chatted live with many friends like Rob, Lisa, Sassy, Yeti, Aly, Alysa, Theresa, Kimmie, Mud, Jdubs, Mel Christi there are hundreds too numerous to list. A picture of Deb was used as a profile picture by over 50 people for multiple days and of respect for Deb. Deb also loved art especially her coloring. She loved to play bingo. She loved her animals over the years and had two cats named Mystery and Lily. She collected dolls, elephants and ceramic angels. Also if I do not mention purses I would be mistaken Deb had an affinity or purses all that knew Deb knew this.

Deb was chronically ill and needed to be taken to the hospital many times over the years and I know that she would liked to thank the first responders of Dover Community. She hated to be a bother but knew she couldn't do it without them.
