Debra Ann "Debbie" Evans

Debra Ann Evans, 69, of Topeka, passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 29, 2024.
She was born September 25, 1954, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of Amos and B. Verlene (Gunter) Evans. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Washburn University.
Debbie worked for the State of Kansas, Department of Labor for 34 years, retiring in 2011.
Ms. Evans was a member of the Topeka Bible Church, of Topeka.
Debbie is survived by her brother, William "Bill" (Connie) Evans and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Debbie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, knitting, and playing board games with her friends. She was an avid Royals & Chiefs fan and attended spring training of the Royals in the 70’s. In her retired years, she was a volunteer accountant for the Trash Mountain Project.
A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday July 8, 2024 at Dove Cremations and Funerals Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd Topeka, Kansas 66610. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hills Cemetery, 8616 SE Ratner Rd in Berryton, Kansas. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
