Debra Rangel, 64, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Garden Terrace at Overland Park. She was born December 11, 1958 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Lynn and Virginia (Richardson) Southard.
Debra graduated from Pittsburg High School. She was employed by the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center many years before retiring in 2015.
Debra married Arthur Rangel. They later divorced.
Survivors include her daughter; Stacey (Michael) McBride of Topeka, three grandchildren; Ray, Lena and Milo and her brother; Steve Southard of Cabot, Arkansas.
Per Debra's wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Heart of America Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 3846 W. 75th Street, Prairie Village, Kansas 66208.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with service arrangements.
