Debra Starnes, 65, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020.

She was born August 10, 1954, in Topeka, Kansas. She was the daughter of Robert Griffin and Joyce (Furst) Lindeman.

Debra graduated from Seaman High School. She married Larry Starnes on June 27, 2008 in Topeka, Kansas. She was employed by Orkin for 26 years as an office manager retiring in October of 2019. She was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, of Topeka.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Starnes of the home; her sons, David (Melissa) Baker of Topeka, Kansas, Marshall (DeeDra) Sheppard of Meriden, Kansas, and Casey Starnes of Springfield, Missouri; her daughter, Jamie (Mario) Grant of Coffeeville, Kansas; her grandchildren, Mariah, Ashley, Donovan all of Topeka, Kansas, Tristain and Skylar of Meriden, Kansas, Alex of Overland Park, Kansas and Seven of Coffeeville, Kansas; her great grandchildren, Keegan Jr., Lauren, Hunter, Cassandra and Harmony; her father, Robert (Dolly) Griffin of Lawrence, Kansas and a brother, Robert "Bob" (Cheryl) Griffin of Emporia, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, R. Joyce Lindeman; a brother, Russell Griffin and a sister, Dixie Palmer.

Debra enjoyed crocheting, collecting butterflies, shopping, going on Temple trips, craft shows, antiquing and reading. She liked to approach things with a positive attitude and with a little orneriness. But most of all she enjoyed all of her grandchildren.

Honoring Debra's request, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at a later date at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3611 SW Jewell Ave, Topeka, Kansas 66611. Arrangements have been entrusted to Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka.
