Della Marie Alexander, 61, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
She was born August 26, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of Charles Lewis and Magdalene (Davis) Johnson.
Mrs. Alexander was employed by dietician for Eveningtide Nursing Home, retiring in 2008.
Survivors include two sons, LaRon L. (Joyce) Johnson, Panama City Beach, FL and Brian K. Johnson, Topeka; 16 grandchildren; 7 siblings, Charles L. Johnson, Jr., Stanley J. Johnson, Odessa "Dee Dee" Johnson, Mary M. Johnson, Bonnie J. Logan-Johnson, Darlenea "Rosie" Johnson and Orman Talbert, all of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Darnell James Johnson and two siblings, Florence Jones and Lester Johnson.
Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka is assisting the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Della Alexander-Johnson Memorial Fund.
A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave, Topeka. Cremation will follow the service.
