Delores Mariepimentel Day

Delores Marie Pimentel Day, 56, Lawrence, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2006 at Plaza West Health Center due to diabetic complications.

She was born Sept. 12, 1950 in Topeka, the daughter of Henry and Lena Castardo Pimentel. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1968.

Delores was employed for 33 years at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in the health care field primarily as a phlebotomist.

She was a devout Catholic and extended her kindness, generosity, and love to many.

She was preceded in death by two infant children, Robert Day II and Rachel.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Robert Day; two sons, Anthony J. Sanchez-Day, Topeka and Robert E. Day III and wife, Dawn, Lawrence; two step-sons, Randy Clennan, Farmington, IA and Rick Clennan, Wichita; four grandchildren, Aunna Marie, Ontario, Calli, and Robert IV; two sisters, Margaret Vasquez and husband, Richard and Barbara Calvillo and husband, Frank, all of Topeka.

Cremation is planned. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Topeka.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Poor Claire Monastery, 2111 S. Main St., Rockford, IL 61102.
