Deloris Fay "Dee" Yost, 76, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 surrounded by her family at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
She was born at home September 7, 1937 in Niobrara, Nebraska, the daughter of Richard "Doc" and Marion (Thomas) Fritz. She was a graduate from one room school house in Niobrara, NE.
Deloris was employed by Duffen's Optical in Topeka, retiring after 28 years.
She was a member of Westside Christian Church, Topeka.
She married Robert Yost on September 7, 1957 in Meriden, KS. They later divorced. Survivors include a daughter, Alissa (Randy) Workman; two grandchildren, Douglas Tyler (Ashleigh) Heather Anne (Ryan); four great-grandchildren, Blaze, Jordyn, Erik and Audree; and two step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Jimmy Fritz.
Deloris was cremated. A graveside service will be 1 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka. Dove Cremation & Funeral Service in Topeka is assisting the family.
