DeLos "Dee" E. Hupp, 68, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center. He was born on February 3, 1938 in Overbrook, the son of Orbie Estel and Olive Elnora Chitwood Hupp. DeLos graduated from Topeka High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1956 to 1960 as a radar tech stationed at Tierra Amarillo Air Force Base in New Mexico. DeLos married Gloria Stovall on September 30, 1960 in Topeka. He was employed by Stoffle Meat Company as a foreman for 25 years. He later was employed by Lewis Toyota and upon retirement, was currently employed part time with Jostens Yearbook Company. DeLos traveled with the Air Force baseball team and continued to play and manage mens fastpitch softball and little league baseball for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Hildreth DeJacimo, Jeanette White and Farrie Medeiros. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, two sons, Dane E. Hupp and wife, Alicia of Baton Rouge, LA, Matt W. Hupp of Topeka, three grandchildren, Lindsay, Josh and Savannah and another grandchild due in February and two sisters, Ivona Logan and Karen Cooper both of Topeka and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Inurnment will take place in Overbrook Cemetery at a later date.
