Dewey L. Cobb, 88, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
He was born January 10, 1934, in Huntsville, Alabama, the son of Joseph D. and Ola (Cleveland) Cobb. He served in the Air Force for 20 years, one month and one day - including duty in the Korean War and Vietnam War.
Dewey drove a bus for the City of Topeka for 19 and an half years, retiring in 1992.
Dewey married Shirley Hartman on November 18, 1966 in Topeka. She survives, along with Anthony Cobb (Pam) of Long Island, NY and Steve Cobb (Barb) of Cedaredge, CO; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son Gary M. Cobb; and an older brother, Joe Cobb aka "Tom."
Dewey enjoyed John Wayne westerns, model railroading, NASCAR, trucks and anything with wheels.
Dewey's wishes were to be cremated. A memorial will be held at a future date.
