Diana Ruth Scamman, 89, died Monday, January 31, 2022 surrounded by family.
Diana was born August 4, 1932, daughter of Julia and George Garceau of Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated Ladywood High School 1950, Butler University 1954, and received her Masters of Physical Therapy from University of Wisconsin 1957. She met Wike, her husband of 62 years, in Chicago 1959, and moved to Topeka 1963. Diana retired from Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center 1998.
Diana was an active member of Christ the King parish (choir, lector), the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites, Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and served on the Auburn-Washburn school board.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Mary Dolores. Survived by husband Wike, five children - George (Laina), Sara, Amy, Will (Dale), Glenn (Tami); nine grandchildren - Abbey, Tyler, Jessica, Rebecca, Hailey, Sienna, Alexis, Taylor, Julia; niece Julie (Jeff), and grandnephew John Henry.
There will be a funeral mass at Christ the King Catholic Church 10:00 AM Saturday, February 5, 2022 followed by a luncheon.
