Don R. Paxson

Don R. Paxson, 79, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015. He was born November 7, 1935 in Topeka, Kansas.
Don attended Boswell Junior High, and Topeka High School. Upon graduation, he went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kansas and a post graduate law degree. While in law school, Don was awarded the Order of the Coif for scholastic achievement. During his life, Don was a partner in the firms of Paxson and Richel, and Arthur Anderson as well as Wendling Noe, Nelson and Johnson.
Right before retirement, Don was appointed Chairman of the Board of Tax Appeals.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; his son, Brian; and his daughter-in-law, Nicole.
Services will be held at Central Congregational Church on Wednesday, September 16th at 2:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions should be sent to the University of Kansas in Don's name.
