Dona I. Plantz

Dona I. Plantz, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Midland Hospice House. She was born August 20, 1935 in Lyndon, Kansas, the daughter of Leroy and Thela (Seigal) Brian. 

Dona graduated from Brewster High School in Brewster, Kansas. She was a homemaker and volunteered for Midland Care. She was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church.

Dona married Daniel "Dan" Plantz on September 23, 1955 and were married for 49 years. He preceded her in death on March 30, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Philip Brian, Ray Brian, Sharon Brian and Dora Hopson.

Survivors include two children, Diane (Leon) Brown of Topeka, David (Chris) Plantz of Topeka, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her siblings, Gene (Betty) Brian of Norton, Kansas, Robert (Sharon) Brian of Tampa, Florida, Mary (Bill) Torbit of Mesa, Arizona and sister-in-law, Phyllis Brian of Hutchinson, Kansas.

As per Dona's wishes, cremation has taken place and private inurnment will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2024 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
