Donald "Don" Marvin Brown, 79, of Topeka, passed away on July 9, 2022 at his home.
He was born on July 15, 1942 to Lester E. and Bertha E. (Runyan) Brown in Topeka, Kansas.
Don graduated from Topeka High School in 1960. After graduation, Don served in the United States Navy as a Deck Hand.
Don worked as a Yardman for Kansas Sand for over 43 years before retiring.
On, November 12, 1966, Don married Sheryle Brown in Topeka. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2016.
Don was an avid Kansas City Chiefs football fan. He loved to go fishing at the lake, watching western shows, especially John Wayne and Gunsmoke. Every child knew him for his amazing Donald Duck impersonations.
Donald is survived by his children, Julyn Owens, Kalyn (Eric) Rutledge, John (Christina) Brown, Donald "Donnie" (Michele) M. Brown, II, and Jason Brown; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheryle Brown; both of his parents; 3 sisters; and 5 brothers.
Per Don's wishes, cremation will take place.
Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Noon at the Lake Shawnee Shelter House Number 1, 3137 SE 29th Street, Topeka, Kansas 66605.
