Donald J. Campbell, 80, Topeka, KS passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at a local care center.
Donald was born August 26, 1938 in Denver, CO, the son of James E. Campbell and Verna F. (McDowell) Campbell. He attended Plainview High School in Wichita, KS.
He served 23 years in the U.S. Army, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant, assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. He later worked at Ft. Riley in Physical Security, retiring in 2005.
Donald married Billie "Dee" Holderman on December 23, 1968 in Wichita. She survives. Other survivors include children, Michael Campbell, Leon, KS, Kristina Henman, El Dorado, KS, Brenda Henman and Shelley Henman, both of Topeka; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and no public services are planned. Inurnment will be in the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Ft. Riley, KS.
