7. Background:
Mr. McLeod graduated from Mulvane High School, Mulvane, Kansas in May of 1949. He worked for Sumner County farmers,
Johnson's Dairy, Boeing Aircraft in Wichita and served in the U.S. Air Force.
He began his career as a Kansas Highway Patrolman in 1956, where he attained the rank of sergeant and served on the Kansas
Turnpike for 18 years. During his tenure, he served in Wichita and Topeka. He retired in 1983. Mr. McLeod also worked for Blakely
Crop Hail Insurance and retired in 1996.
Mr. McLeod belonged to AFAM Lodge 187, Pittsburg, Kansas, Arab Temple in Topeka and the Topeka American Legion
Capitol Post #1.

8. Relatives: Married to: Merry Lu Barnett in 1951. They divorced in 1962.
Anna May Matheny in October of 1964. She died in 1998.

9. Service time, day, date, place: Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2003 at
Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel.

10. Burial: Resthaven Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.

11. Visitation times, place: Mr. McLeod will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Highland Chapel after 3:00 p.m. on
Sunday where the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
