Donald D. Morehead

Donald D. Morehead, 90, passed away May 24, 2013. He was born December 12, 1922, in Eskridge, Kansas, the son of William Ivan and Ella May Miller Morehead. Donald was a graduate of Eskridge High School and worked many years as a mechanic for Goodyear Tire & Rubber. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Donald was a farmer in the Dover community and member of Dover Federated Church and Dover Volunteer Fire Department. On September 30, 1950, in Topeka, Donald married Anna M. Kahler. She survives.

Other survivors include daughter, Ella Denise (Don) Grubb; son, James Ivan Morehead; four grandchildren, Aaron Grubb, Aimee Grubb, James D. Morehead, and Tripp Fulton; and great-granddaughter, Kaylee Grubb-Portillo.

Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Dover Federated Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Dover Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka.
