Donald E. "Don" Huls, Jr., 54, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019. He was born August 6, 1965 in York, Nebraska, the son of Donald Eugene and Joyce Naomi (Leiser) Huls, Sr.
Don graduated from Chase High School in Chase, Kansas and earned an Associate Degree in Welding from Salina VoTech. He had many side jobs as he loved the idea of being the Man. He was a fantastic welder among many of his talents and dreams. Don had a passion for wood and loved his custom climbing business where he cut wood and turned it into beautiful pieces of art. He spent a big part of his life down by the river or lake fishing which he loved so much.
Don married Robin Lynn Dilley on February 14, 1990 in Concordia, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Kyle J. (Britney) Huls of Marysville, Kansas, Melissa D. (Damon) O'Brine of Marysville, Kansas, Carrie L. Abram of Topeka, nine grandchildren and his mother, Joyce N. Stewart of Troy, Kansas and his siblings, Tammy (Shane) Stanton of Troy, Kansas, Joey (Lori) Huls of Hays, Kansas.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Cremation will follow the visitation and private inurnment will take place at a later date.
