Donald Wayne Martindale, 77, left this earth to go fishing in Heaven. He passed away March 2, 2012, with his family at his side. Donald was born March 12, 1934, in Union, MO, the son of John and Lois Martindale. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1950-1954. He worked for BRB Contractors, Inc., for 35 years until his retirement in 1997.
In 1957, Donald married Linda V. Gilbreath. She survives. Other survivors include daughter, Donna Martindale-Otte; sons, David (Barbara) Martindale, and Dean (Tammy) Martindale; grandsons, John Martindale and Dustin Hamilton; and great-granddaughter, Aleena Jade Martindale, whom he adored.
At Donald's request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Cr., Topeka, KS 66606 or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617.
