Donna Jean (Callison) Phillips
63. Topeka passed away Saturday October 9, 2004 at Rossville Valley Manor. Donna was born April 5, 1941 in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of Donn W. and Lucile L. Long Callison. The family moved to Kansas in 1956. Donna graduated from Perry High School in 1959. She also graduated from Clark Business School in Topeka. Mrs. Phillips was employed by the State Of Kansas , Department of O.S.H.A. She later retired from the State Of Kansas due to health problems.
She married Harold Meggison Jr. and later divorced, he survives. Years later she married,Theodore J. Phillips, he precedes her in death. Mrs. Phillips was active in local churches of her community, she also enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, fishing, and crocheting in which she won numerous ribbons at state and county fairs.
She was preceded in death by her father Donn W. Callison.
She is survived by her mother, Lucile L. Long Callison. Paola, KS. One sister Juanita Turley, Paola, KS. Two Brothers, Ivan Callison, Matthews, NC and Dan Callison, Watertown, WI. One Daughter Debra Buchholz, Carbondale, KS. Two Sons Richard Meggison, Goff, KS and Kenneth Meggison, Topeka, KS and 8 grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM Friday, October 15, 2004 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be made at www.newcomerfamily.com
