Doris Derrington, 87, passed away on February 21, 2021. She was born on April 26, 1933, in Topeka, the daughter of Bernice and Albert Derrington.
Doris attended Topeka public schools and graduated from Topeka High School in 1951. She graduated from Washburn University in 1955 where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
For many years she worked at Southwestern Bell and Bossler and Associates. She retired from the State of Kansas in 1998.
Doris loved Topeka High School and was very active with her graduating class, keeping up the class roster and helping organize many reunions. Memorials may be sent to the Topeka High School Historical Society, 800 West Tenth, Topeka, KS 66612. A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, March 23rd at 2:00 PM.
