Doris Desch

Doris K. Desch, 81, Topeka died March 8, 2005 at Midland Hospice House. She was born Dec. 19, 1923 in Topeka the daughter of Pleasant Albert and Addie Mae Dunn Taylor.

Doris was a very compassionate person. She spent most of her life giving her time to others to help them overcome their addictions. She worked as Kitchen Manager for various recovery centers in Topeka.

She married Jake J. Desch Feb. 2, 1952 in Lakewood, CA he survives.

She was preceded in death by an infant son Jacob Desch and son Jack Corwin

Other survivors include four daughters, Katherine Hurd-Holms, Topeka; Virginia Constant, Topeka; Kayron Biester, Topeka; Leeann Desch, Topeka; two sons, Marty Desch, Topeka; Albert Corwin, Topeka; 14 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will have a private memorial service at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Private interment of cremains will be at a later date.
