Doris Ellizabeth (Nã©E Pillsbury) Graham

August 24, 1926 — June 27, 2019

Doris Elizabeth Graham (nèe Pillsbury) was born in Florida on August 24, 1926.

Doris moved to California in her late teens to attend college, graduating from Loma Linda University with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. While there, she became reacquainted with the son of an elementary school teacher of hers and met the man of her dreams: Floyd Graham. They were married on June 26, 1949.

In the following decades she had three children and was a loving mother, active member of her church, and devoted assistant to Floyd in his auto repair business. She, Floyd and a young Tim relocated to Northern California in 1976, where she stayed until Floyd passed in 2011.

As her health declined in later years, she moved to Kansas to be close to her youngest son and his family. She enjoyed camping, especially out in the sand dunes, reading and butterflies. Doris passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019, in Lawrence, KS.

An interesting aside on Doris' middle name, Elizabeth, is that it is a family middle name given to her mother and grandmother, and passed on to her daughter and granddaughter.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Floyd, daughter Janice, and grandson Jason. She is survived by her two sons, Ralph and Tim (Andria) and grandchildren, Chris and Kate.

A private family inurnment service will be held in Anderson, California, where Doris will be laid to rest with her beloved Floyd.
